This is the second CCP newsletter, the first to be mailed electronically.  The titles on the left link directly to the article concerned.  There's a lot to read!  Don't miss the BeeLeaf news, or the case study - a beautifully written example of the use and power of metaphor.

As this is our newsletter we can make it what we want it to be - let me have your feedback and suggestions for future issues.  What about a book loan request section?  Letters to the Editor?  Practice problem page?  Puzzles?  Opinion polls?

And please send in your photographs of community members at training events or getting together for a practice group or other gathering.

I know there are plenty of poets and artists out there, as well as talented and individual therapists.  Please share your thoughts, cases, artistic abilities and idiosyncracies with the rest of us and send in you contribution to the next newsletter by 3 August.

All letters, articles, compliments and complaints please to Editor@Beeleaf.com.

UKCP NEWS
UKCP Diversity and Equal Opportunities Committee
Reem has recently joined the Diversity and Equal Opportunities Committee(DEOC) at the UKCP. This committee, which is in its early stages of formation, comprises a small group of representatives from various UKCP Sections, all committed to addressing issues of diversity and equality in Psychotherapy, from the viewpoint of UKCP member organisations (including therapists/clients and trainers/trainees). For more information on this, please keep checking the CCP Board, where Reem will be posting updates and canvassing opinion on various subjects.
UKCP Candidates in Training

Report from Sally Scott.

A SUPERVISION OPPORTUNITY
FROM THE COMMUNITY

BeeLeaf Institute and Awaken School, both UKCP Member Organisations in the Hypno-Psychotherapy Section, have been canvassing trainees regarding their Supervision needs and with an eye on standards developing further in time for Statutory Regulation. Several interesting points have emerged.

Poem

When the sun rises over the mountain top

And the path to the summit is clear

Only a fool waits for darkness to come

As an excuse for his journey to fear

The lit path in daylight

Is clear and easily trod

Hesitate not or the shadows

Will obscure your surefooted way

And tangents of dark and danger

Will your journeys end defray
